A Woman’s suffering in India.

Recently we came to hear a lot of gossips in about a girl struggling for her life. Some beastly people were responsible for this incident which took place in Delhi, the capital city of our country. Finally this girl left this world and went to another, taking all the brutality that happened to her. Everything happened just because of our mistakes. If today, our whole country is treated equally then I think we would never see these things taking place. In every step the men are given more importance than a woman. According to the census of India, for every 1000 men in this country, there exist only 940 women, an imbalance due to sex- selective abortion and infanticide.
The difference is even more extreme in certain states. In rural areas, girls perform the brunt of household chores and are often married in their teens; occasionally to men they’ve never met. Even today women are treated very poorly. People are not concerned about their mother, wife and sisters. A large number of pestering cases are being highlighted in the newspapers. The women feel insecure and weak in the society as they are neglected. The society does not give them the opportunity to move forward as men do. Our little sisters are threatened and they are in danger as they are also in trouble from those beasts hiding around us and doing such spiteful things. Always respect and save a woman because one day she is a daughter, a sister, a wife or a mother to someone.

In my opinion, laws enacted for women should be implemented and followed strictly and if needed, new laws should be either enacted or amended to secure them at every step in such a country like ours. For the development of the country, security and development of women and children must be given top priority. The victims live on in the hearts of Indians, and so does the demand for changes.
